Description:

A leading FMCG and General Trade company in the UAE is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is passionate about financial accuracy, compliance, and contributing to business growth within a fast-paced commercial environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts receivable and payable functions, and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations. Candidates with experience in the FMCG or General Trade sector will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.

• Prepare and maintain financial transaction reports and supporting documentation.

• Process and monitor import and export documentation related to financial transactions.

• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and company financial policies.

• Support month-end closing activities and assist with financial reporting and reconciliations.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of accounting experience.

• Previous experience in the FMCG or General Trade industry is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.

• Experience preparing and managing financial transaction reports.

• Knowledge of import and export documentation.

• Strong understanding of VAT regulations is mandatory.

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and reporting skills.

• Passion for finance, accuracy, and supporting business growth.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general ledger accounting.

• VAT compliance, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

• Import/export documentation and accounting principles.
