Description:

A growing contracting company in Dubai is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals with UAE experience who are looking to advance their careers in the contracting and construction industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project financial management, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations while working closely with project and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions.

• Prepare invoices, payment certificates, and supplier payments.

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

• Track project costs and assist with project budgeting.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Coordinate with project and procurement teams on financial matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the contracting or construction industry.

• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax (CT), and accounting standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• UAE driving license is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of:

• UAE VAT & Corporate Tax Regulations

• Microsoft Excel & Accounting Software

• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Bank Reconciliation
