Description:

Bartawi General Contracting LLC is looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Dubai. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, this role is ideal for professionals with extensive UAE contracting and construction industry experience who can oversee complex financial operations and ensure accurate project accounting.

The successful candidate will manage the complete accounting cycle, financial reporting, project costing, tax compliance, and budgeting while supporting audits and supervising junior accountants. Candidates who are available for immediate joining or have a short notice period will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete accounting cycle and prepare accurate financial reports.

• Oversee project accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reporting.

• Perform project costing and profitability analysis.

• Handle IFRS 15 revenue recognition, client billing, and percentage-of-completion accounting.

• Manage cash flow, treasury reporting, and financial planning activities.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

• Process payroll accounting and perform account reconciliations.

• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounting activities.

• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and external audits.

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of accounting experience.

• Minimum 5 years of UAE contracting/construction industry experience.

• Strong understanding of IFRS, IFRS 15, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.

• Hands-on experience with project costing, WIP, CTC, and percentage-of-completion accounting.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, or CPA is an advantage.

• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.

• Only candidates with proven UAE contracting/construction industry experience will be considered.

Strong knowledge of:

 • IFRS, IFRS 15, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax

 • Project costing, WIP, CTC, and financial reporting

 • ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and payroll accounting
