Description:

Al Sakan Group is seeking an experienced General Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of its rental equipment business in the United Arab Emirates. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong financial management skills and experience handling accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and bookkeeping within a fast-paced business environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring outstanding balances, processing payments, managing bank reconciliations, and supporting overall accounting operations. Candidates with prior UAE experience, particularly within the rental equipment industry or a similar sector, will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage sales invoices and delivery orders (DO).

• Monitor rental periods and ensure accurate billing.

• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Process customer payments and issue receipts.

• Maintain petty cash records and daily bookkeeping entries.

• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.

• Handle post-dated checks (PDC) and maintain proper records.

• Reconcile supplier statements and process supplier payments.

• Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.

• Experience in the rental equipment industry or a similar business is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting tasks.

• Strong knowledge of:

 • Accounts Receivable

 • Sales Invoicing and Delivery Orders (DO)

 • Bank Reconciliation

 • Petty Cash Management

 • Post-Dated Checks (PDC)

 • Microsoft Excel

 • Accounting software
