Description:

AppFolio is seeking a Data Migration Specialist II to support customers during one of the most important stages of their journey — transitioning to the AppFolio platform. The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and seamless data migration experiences while helping customers successfully adopt the platform.

The ideal candidate will act as a technical expert, guiding customers through complex data configurations, troubleshooting migration challenges, and ensuring data accuracy. This position requires strong customer communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams to achieve successful onboarding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete data migration journey for customers across different segments, ensuring accurate and timely data conversion.

• Guide customers through complex configurations and troubleshoot import issues.

• Analyze legacy data structures and translate them into optimized AppFolio setups.

• Communicate proactively with customers and provide guidance on migration best practices.

• Build customer confidence by ensuring smooth platform transition and successful onboarding.

• Collaborate with Onboarding Managers and internal teams to achieve project milestones.

• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks to maintain accuracy.

• Support customers by providing solutions to complex business and technical challenges.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of property management accounting principles, including:

• Trust accounting

• General ledger (G/L) management

• Accounts payable (A/P)

• Accounts receivable (A/R)

• Financial reporting

• Experience in B2B SaaS implementation or customer onboarding projects in a customer-facing role.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and experience in data migration, testing, validation, or reconciliation processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex data concepts clearly.

• Strong customer relationship-building skills with a solution-oriented approach.

• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining quality.

• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience working in the property management industry is an advantage.

• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using platforms such as:

• Intercom

• Salesforce

• Zoom

• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Gemini, Copilot, Claude AI, or similar platforms.
