About the Role

As a Faculty member within the Department of Business at LSBU UAE, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business, Management, Marketing, and related disciplines.

You will deliver engaging lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions that combine academic knowledge with current industry practice. Working closely with Course Leaders and module teams, you will support student learning, contribute to assessment activities, and help maintain the high academic standards expected of a British university.

This role is ideal for experienced academics and industry professionals who are passionate about business, management, and marketing and are committed to developing the next generation of business professionals and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions in line with approved module specifications.
• Teach across a range of subjects within Business, Management, Marketing, and related fields, with appropriate preparation.
• Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote student participation and achievement.
• Support students in developing subject knowledge, critical thinking, practical skills, and professional competencies.
• Integrate current industry practices, business trends, and relevant digital technologies into teaching.
• Apply innovative teaching approaches and digital learning technologies where appropriate.
• Ensure teaching delivery aligns with LSBU academic standards and learning outcomes.

Assessment & Student Support

• Prepare, review, and update teaching materials, presentations, case studies, and learning resources.
• Support assessment design, marking, moderation, and feedback processes.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students during and outside scheduled teaching sessions.
• Monitor student engagement and identify opportunities to enhance learning outcomes.
• Support students in applying business and management concepts to real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to maintaining academic integrity and quality assurance standards.

Academic Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with Course Leaders, Module Leaders, and academic teams to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
• Participate in programme reviews, module evaluations, and quality enhancement activities as required.
• Contribute subject expertise and industry insights to support curriculum development.
• Support the integration of current business practices, digital developments, and emerging technologies into the curriculum.
• Attend relevant departmental meetings and academic activities where appropriate.

Research & Professional Practice

• Maintain an active profile within your academic or professional discipline.
• Contribute to scholarly activities, research, industry engagement, or professional practice.
• Support research-informed teaching and innovation within Business, Management, and Marketing.
• Engage with emerging developments in business, management, marketing, AI, and digital technologies.
• Bring relevant industry knowledge and professional experience into the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

• A PhD in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant teaching experience, industry experience, or a combination of both in Business, Management, Marketing, or related areas.
• The ability to teach a range of subjects across Business, Management, and Marketing with appropriate preparation.
• Strong understanding of contemporary business and industry practices.
• AI and digital awareness, with the ability to incorporate relevant technologies into teaching and learning.
• The ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching at higher education level.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting student learning and academic development.
• A commitment to academic excellence and student success.
• Knowledge of current developments within your specialist discipline.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural academic environment.
• Previous experience within UK higher education or international higher education environments would be advantageous.
• Evidence of research, publications, professional practice, or industry engagement would be highly desirable.
