Law Firm Billing Specialist

Responsibilities
- Manage the billing process and arrangements for assigned attorney portfolios
- Verify rates, implement outside counsel guidelines, and monitor fee caps and budgets
- Manage the prebill to final bill process, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Collaborate with eBilling Coordinators and Accounting Systems Administrators on client account setups
- Communicate directly with clients and attorneys regarding billing arrangements and inquiries
- Respond to inquiries relating to accruals, audits, and payment reports
- Maintain updated pre-bill statuses and monitor unapplied credit balances
Requirements
- Prior law firm experience as a biller is required
- Experience with Financial Management Systems software
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills for complex accounting analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience
Benefits
- Anticipated base salary of $55,000 to $88,000
