Job Overview
National Cement Factory is looking for an Assistant Storekeeper to support daily store and inventory operations, including receiving materials, maintaining stock records, issuing materials, inventory counts, SAP entries, and coordination with procurement and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive materials, goods, and spare parts and reconcile them against purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare and manage Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and coordinate required approvals with relevant departments and Finance.
- Assist the Storekeeper in maintaining accurate inventory records, physical stock, receipts, returns, and adjustments.
- Monitor stock levels according to established minimum and maximum quantities.
- Assist with monthly stock closing activities and handle closing procedures in the Storekeeper's absence.
- Follow up on materials pending under active LPOs and communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store materials and goods.
- Issue materials from the store according to approved procedures.
- Enter and maintain store-related records in the SAP system .
- Conduct periodic and requested inventory counts and audits.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards throughout storage areas.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Department regarding ordering and receiving materials.
- Assist with annual inventory audits.
- Support Procurement Officers with supplier inquiries when required.
Requirements
- Indian or Nepali nationality.
- Minimum relevant experience, preferably up to 3 years , as an Assistant Storekeeper or Storekeeper.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse procedures.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Procurement, Finance, Store, and other departments.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Procurement Manager .
- Works under the daily direction of the Storekeeper .
- Coordinates with Senior Procurement Officers and Procurement Officers when the Storekeeper is absent.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
