Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer – Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works .

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the construction of wet utility infrastructure works, including potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and associated networks .
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and other technical documents.
• Monitor site progress, quality, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Contractor, Authorities, stakeholders, and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Monitor inspection, testing, and commissioning of wet utility networks and ensure the required approvals are obtained.
• Review construction activities and technical issues related to stormwater drainage systems and associated infrastructure .
• Identify potential construction risks, technical issues, and delays and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces between wet utilities and other infrastructure works, including roads, structures, electrical, telecom, and other services.
• Maintain proper records of site activities, inspections, progress, technical issues, and correspondence.
• Support the Resident Engineer in the day-to-day management and supervision of site activities.
• Participate in site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings with the Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are properly implemented on site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works .
• Good knowledge of wet utility systems, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks .
• Experience in construction supervision, inspection, quality control, and coordination with contractors.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team and manage multiple site activities
