Manager - Projects(MEP)Walk-In 5th - 6th September 2026 {Swiss Hotel}

• Manage MEP projects from mobilization and design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, completion, and handover.

• Develop and implement project execution strategies, MEP work plans, schedules, resource plans, and delivery objectives.

• Review contract documents, scope of work, drawings, specifications, BOQs, technical requirements, and project schedules.

• Lead and coordinate all MEP activities, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, and other building services.

• Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, authority requirements, and applicable standards.

• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, and contractual commitments.

• Identify delays, technical constraints, interface issues, and resource requirements and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Manage project budgets, costs, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal project teams.

• Lead project and technical coordination meetings and provide regular progress and performance reports to senior management.

• Coordinate MEP design development and ensure constructability, coordination, and timely approval of shop drawings and technical submissions.

• Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, calculations, method statements, inspection and test plans, and technical documentation.

• Ensure effective coordination between MEP, civil, structural, architectural, and other disciplines to minimize clashes and rework.

• Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure proper MEP model coordination, clash detection, and resolution.

• Manage subcontractors and specialist MEP contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedules.

• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of MEP equipment, materials, and specialist systems.

• Review technical specifications and vendor submissions for major MEP equipment and systems.

• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with approved QA/QC procedures.

• Ensure timely closure of inspections, NCRs, technical queries, site observations, and defects.

• Ensure strict implementation of HSE requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, and safe working practices.

• Coordinate with local authorities and utility providers for inspections, approvals, testing, and connections as required.

• Manage testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems and ensure successful integrated system testing.

• Review commissioning procedures, test results, performance reports, and system completion documentation.

• Manage project variations, change orders, claims, and commercial issues in coordination with contracts and commercial teams.

• Monitor MEP project costs, commitments, variations, and cost-to-complete forecasts.

• Resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues in consultation with consultants, designers, vendors, and project stakeholders.

• Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, authority approvals, and handover documentation.

• Lead snagging, rectification, testing, commissioning, completion, and final handover activities.

• Manage, mentor, and develop MEP project teams and ensure effective allocation of responsibilities.

• Drive value engineering, energy efficiency, constructability improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, Civil Defence requirements, DEWA/ADDC requirements where applicable, and relevant international standards.

• Drive lessons learned, continuous improvement, and best practices across MEP projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong MEP project management and construction expertise.

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, and other building services.

• Strong understanding of MEP design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Ability to review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, calculations, and technical submissions.

• Strong knowledge of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary clash resolution.

• Excellent project planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource management skills.

• Strong subcontractor, consultant, client, vendor, and authority coordination skills.

• Good knowledge of UAE MEP standards, authority requirements, and construction practices.

• Strong QA/QC and HSE knowledge.

• Strong commercial awareness, including variations, claims, and contract administration.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera P6/MS Project, and relevant MEP/project management software.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline .

• 12–18 years of relevant experience in MEP construction and project management, preferably in large-scale building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or engineering projects.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an MEP project management/managerial position .

• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary MEP projects from design coordination through testing, commissioning, and handover.

• Strong experience managing MEP subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and project teams.

• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

• Experience with Dubai and Abu Dhabi authority approvals and requirements will be an advantage.

• Professional engineering certification and/or PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
