Project Account Manager

The Projects Account Manager owns a portfolio of strategic, recurring project customers across the UAE. It is a hybrid role covering account management and commercial closure. The PAM protects and grows existing strategic relationships, and takes ownership of proposals, negotiation and deal closure, both for opportunities handed over from the Business Development Manager and for opportunities the PAM generates within the account base. The goal is simple: convert qualified opportunities into recurring, profitable project business.
What you will do:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic, recurring project customer accounts across the UAE.
- Take ownership of qualified opportunities at formal handover from the Business Development Manager and run them through proposal, negotiation and closure.
- Manage proposals, commercial negotiations and deal closure across new and existing account opportunities.
- Identify and pursue expansion and repeat project opportunities within the existing customer base, reducing customer attrition.
- Support new business growth alongside the BDM, given the portfolio's strategic rather than high-volume size.
- Own commercial tracking for your accounts: forecasting, next-step management, margin and scope tracking, and quarterly account reviews.
- Keep the CRM accurate and current daily, covering opportunity ownership, handover records, customer notes, forecasts and next actions.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of qualified customer meetings, with targets agreed with the Sales Director.
- Work with the delivery and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects progress successfully.
- Build partner and customer relationships, representing the company at networking and customer engagement events.
- Perform other tasks as required from time to time.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant account management, project sales or business development experience, ideally in IT, AV, ELV or systems integration.
- Technical fluency in the solutions we deliver (IT infrastructure, audio visual, ELV and security systems) is highly valued: candidates who can hold their own in a technical conversation with clients and engineers will stand out.
- Demonstrated track record of managing commercial sales cycles from qualification through to closure.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to take opportunities from qualification through proposal and negotiation to closure.
- Excellent relationship-management skills: able to develop, protect and grow strategic, long-term accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for proposals, customer engagement and stakeholder management.
- Sound commercial judgement covering pricing, margin awareness and professional handling of negotiations.
- Disciplined CRM and record-keeping habits: accurate, timely, consistent.
- Strong collaboration across technical, delivery and finance teams.
- Proactive, target-driven, personally accountable for quota and commercial performance.
- Organised enough to run multiple strategic accounts and live opportunities in parallel.
- UAE driving licence preferred.
