Reservations Agent Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Reservations Agent to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Convert, quickly, inquiries into contracted business;
- Respond to all customers in a highly professional manner, including ensuring all reservations are completed accurately and to the Guest’s expectation;
- Identify sales leads, as appropriate;
- Respond, positively, to sales inquiries to develop future sales leads;
- Provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining the hotels brand standards;
- Eagerness to learn and develop;
- Complete pre-set task list and additional tasks as directed by the Reservations Manager / Assistant Reservations Manager;
- Provide team coverage as and when needed.
Requirements:
- Outstanding administration and organizational skills;
- A passion for delivering great customer service;
- A highly professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills;
- Be able to prioritize as this position has multiple projects going simultaneously;
- Ability to read and comprehend English;
- At least 2 year experience in a similar position or Front Office;
- To be able to work efficiently and quickly in a fast paced environment;
- Computer literate including relevant software and experience in using a PMS system – preferably Opera;
- Work experience in a travel agency an advantage, but not a requirement;
- Can effectively communicate in spoken and written English;
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines;
- Must be familiar with tourist destinations in the Philippines and Asia;
- Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably graduates in Tourism Management, Tourism Hospitality (HRM) or its equivalent;
- Intermediate computer proficiency specifically with Microsoft Excel;
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
