Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support VAT/tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with prior exposure to auditing being a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank and branch reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate, organized, and compliant with company policy and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and vendors as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Auditing experience or exposure to audit processes strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT/FTA regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and auditors.
