Senior Accountant

A leading real estate developer in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee both day-to-day accounting operations and the overall finance function across a group of related companies. This hands-on role is ideal for a finance professional who can manage strategic financial responsibilities while remaining actively involved in operational accounting.

The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, cash flow management, and financial controls while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and supporting business growth through sound financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial closing for multiple companies and projects.

• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, expenses, and intercompany transactions.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and internal accounting policies.

• Prepare tax filings and maintain supporting financial documentation.

• Monitor financial performance and review contracts and transactions from accounting, tax, and financial perspectives.

• Maintain strong financial controls, accounting procedures, and audit-ready records.

• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other stakeholders.

• Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including senior-level accounting and finance management responsibilities.

• Strong UAE accounting experience. 

GeographicReference

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.

• Real estate development experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in off-plan property development accounting is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of accounting systems.

• QuickBooks experience is preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Experience managing the accounting and reporting of multiple companies or projects is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance and accounting function.

• Must be hands-on and willing to perform detailed accounting work alongside Finance Manager responsibilities.
