Associate General Counsel

Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on People Team operations including hiring, performance management, and employment law compliance
- Support Product and AI teams regarding technology innovation and evolving regulatory landscapes
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws such as HIPAA and CPRA
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across operations and strategic initiatives
- Monitor healthcare-specific regulatory changes including value-based care and PACE programs
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with clinicians, facilities, and partners
- Manage relationships with outside counsel
- Advise executives on day-to-day operational and strategic decisions
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in a state bar association (California preferred)
- Legal leadership experience in-house or at a law firm
- Experience supporting HR, Product, and Privacy teams
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and California-specific laws
- Experience engaging with regulatory bodies like CMS, DHCS, or OIG
