Electronic Technician

Your new company My client, a player within mining technology, requires experienced Electronic Technicians for a 6-month role based in Balcatta.

Contract

6-month role

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembly of electronic parts and products, including the use of basic hand tools: screwdriver, circlip, pliers, cutters.
• Soldering (ensuring fume extraction and pressure), crimping, wiring.
• Engraving.
• Part assembly using hands.
• Application of RTV silicone.
• Testing of electronic parts or products prior to commissioning or upon return from use.
• Conducting visual checks for damage.
• Conducting polarity checks using multimeters.
• Conducting voltage checks utilising a variety of equipment such as oscilloscopes, battery analysers, and power supplies.
• Checking the charging functioning and capacity.
• Conducting repairs to damaged electronic parts or products.
• Cleaning parts for ease of inspection using appropriate chemicals, including spray & wipe and iso propylene.
• Unassembly of larger products/parts to fix smaller components.

Requirements

• Previous experience is essential.
• Full Australian working rights.
