Civil Supervisor

Civil Supervisor –

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Civil Supervisor to supervise and coordinate civil construction and fit-out activities at project sites. The Civil Supervisor will ensure that work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction and fit-out activities at the project site.
• Allocate work to masons, carpenters, helpers, and other site workers.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise blockwork, plastering, flooring, tiling, screeding, concrete works, waterproofing, painting, and other finishing activities.
• Coordinate civil works with MEP, architectural, interior, and other site teams.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Check dimensions, levels, alignment, and finishing quality of completed works.
• Identify site issues, defects, and deviations and report them to the Civil Engineer or Project Manager.
• Monitor manpower productivity and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
• Coordinate material requirements with the stores and procurement teams.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of construction materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor their daily activities and progress.
• Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, material requirements, and site documentation.
• Assist engineers during inspections and ensure rectification of site observations.
• Monitor work progress against the project schedule and report delays.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Enforce safe working practices and ensure workers use required PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and construction-related issues immediately.
• Assist in measurements, quantity verification, and preparation of work completion records.
• Support snagging, rectification, final inspection, and project handover activities.
• Participate in site coordination meetings and provide daily progress updates.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Civil Engineer or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI/technical qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil construction, interior fit-out, or finishing works.
• Strong practical knowledge of civil construction and finishing activities.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience supervising masons, carpenters, helpers, and subcontractor teams.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and workmanship standards.
• Ability to check levels, measurements, alignment, and finishing quality.
• Good understanding of construction site safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to work at project sites and flexible hours when required.
