Description:

ExtraHop is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Associate to support accurate and timely payroll processing across the United States, Canada, and international employee groups. The role focuses on payroll operations, compliance, reporting, and maintaining accurate employee payroll records.

The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Finance, and external partners to manage payroll activities, resolve employee inquiries, support audits, and improve payroll processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. multi-state, Canada, and international employees while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

• Review and verify timesheets, earnings, deductions, and payroll-related data for accuracy.

• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide timely resolutions.

• Collaborate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.

• Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate employee data management.

• Prepare payroll benefit reconciliations and month-end payroll-related account reconciliations.

• Monitor payroll accounts, identify variances, and provide explanations for changes.

• Generate payroll reports to support finance operations, tax filings, and compliance audits.

• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including preparation and distribution of tax forms.

• Support payroll system upgrades, process improvements, and special payroll projects.

• Maintain updated payroll policies and process documentation.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or 2+ years of payroll experience.

• Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to process accurate data while meeting deadlines.

• Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.

• Strong communication skills with employees, HR, Finance, and external agencies.

• Strong Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of:

• Payroll processing, compliance, and reporting.

• Multi-state, Canadian, and international payroll operations.

• Payroll systems such as UKG, accounting reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Benefits reconciliation, tax forms, and payroll audits.
