Team Lead - QA (Configuration & Integrations)

### Team Lead – Quality Assurance (QA) | Remote

The Team Lead – Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and managing QA frameworks, testing strategies, automation initiatives, monitoring, training, documentation, and client support within a global payroll SaaS environment. The role ensures high-quality, compliant, and scalable configuration delivery while leading QA governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement efforts.

#### Key Responsibilities

**QA Strategy & Governance**

* Design and maintain a QA framework aligned with ISO, SOC 2, and client compliance requirements.
* Define testing approaches for unit, functional, regression, UAT, and automated testing.
* Establish QA standards, SOPs, templates, coverage metrics, and deployment readiness processes.
* Embed QA checkpoints throughout the configuration lifecycle.

**Documentation & Compliance**

* Maintain audit-ready QA documentation and evidence repositories.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
* Support audits and compliance reviews.

**Monitoring, Risk Management & RCA**

* Develop dashboards for QA monitoring, defect tracking, and test coverage.
* Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives.
* Maintain risk registers and proactively identify quality risks.

**Automation & Tooling**

* Drive QA automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
* Develop reusable test libraries and validation rules.
* Partner on AI/ML initiatives for predictive testing and defect prevention.
* Manage QA tools including Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, and automation platforms.

**Reporting & Performance Management**

* Deliver regular QA reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
* Track QA KPIs and SLA performance, including defect turnaround, coverage, and RCA closure rates.
* Analyze defect trends and identify improvement opportunities.

**Client & Stakeholder Management**

* Represent QA during onboarding, UAT, go-live, and governance meetings.
* Support client escalations, audits, and quality reviews.
* Collaborate with Client Success, Product, Compliance, and Implementation teams to improve outcomes and satisfaction.

**Training & Team Enablement**

* Develop onboarding programs, QA certifications, training materials, and mentoring programs.
* Promote peer reviews, quality standards, and knowledge sharing across teams.

**Scalability & Continuous Improvement**

* Build scalable QA operating models for multiple countries, client types, and project scopes.
* Maintain a centralized QA knowledge base and reusable testing assets.
* Conduct QA maturity assessments and drive process improvements.

#### Qualifications

**Required**

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in QA, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 5–7+ years of QA experience in payroll SaaS, HR technology, or compliance-driven software environments.
* Experience designing QA frameworks, leading automation initiatives, and managing cross-functional QA programs.
* Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, configuration testing, and quality methodologies.
* Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance requirements.
* Familiarity with audits, evidence management, and certification processes.
* Advanced experience with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, and test automation tools.
* Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

**Preferred**

* Experience applying AI/ML technologies to QA automation or predictive defect management.
