Performance Marketing Executive

JOB PURPOSE:

We are hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to own the growth engine end-to-end: attracting the right audiences through paid and organic channels and converting first-time readers into loyal, returning users.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact. Beyond improving traffic, engagement and marketing efficiency, you will help drive audience growth and play a key role in preparing the business for the launch of our subscription model.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acquisition — bring the right audience in
●    Plan and run paid acquisition across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X, and Microsoft, optimising every channel against cost per acquisition (CAC), not vanity traffic.
●    Grow organic and SEO-driven traffic in partnership with our editorial team, building a durable, lower-cost acquisition base that reduces reliance on paid spend.
●    Test and scale new channels, audiences, and creative.
●    Conversion & retention — turn first-time readers into loyal readers, and eventually into subscribers
●    Own and develop a conversion funnel.
●    Partner with lifecycle/CRM to reduce churn through onboarding, engagement, and win-back journeys, using first-party data to personalise.
●    Improve trial-to-paid and free-to-paid conversion rates as a primary KPI.
Analytics
●    Build and own the acquisition analytics stack: CAC, LTV, payback period, cohort analysis, and multi-touch attribution.
●    Ensure conversion tracking is accurate and trustworthy — no inflated or under-counted conversions distorting spend decisions.
●    Report MRR growth, funnel health, and channel efficiency to leadership, and translate the numbers into clear budget recommendations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 
What we look for in the ideal candidate
●    3+ years in performance, growth, or acquisition marketing — ideally with a subscription, media, or SaaS product.
●    Strong command of both paid acquisition and SEO / organic growth — you have driven traffic from both sides of the house.
●    Fluency in growth analytics: CAC, LTV, cohort, funnel, and churn. GA4 essential; SQL / BigQuery strongly preferred.
●    A track record of optimising conversion funnels, paywalls, or registration flows.
●    Commercial instinct — you think in revenue and payback, not just impressions and clicks.
