Head of Strategy

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading diversified oil & gas services group with operations across the UAE, delivering integrated solutions to the energy sector. The Group is seeking an experienced Head of Strategy to lead corporate strategy, business planning, portfolio optimization, and strategic transformation across its diverse businesses. The role will work closely with the Group CEO, Board, and executive leadership to identify growth opportunities, drive performance, and support long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Group's corporate strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Lead strategic planning, annual business planning, and performance management across business units.
- Evaluate new market opportunities, investments, partnerships, and diversification initiatives.
- Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and industry analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Lead commercial and financial feasibility studies for new ventures and strategic initiatives.
- Drive portfolio optimization, value creation, and operational transformation programs.
- Monitor strategic KPIs and present business insights to executive leadership and the Board.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, legal, and business leaders to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities.
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects including restructuring, expansion, M&A evaluations, and organizational transformation.
- Build a high-performing strategy function while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA from a leading university is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or transformation within an oil & gas sector
- Experience evaluating investments, M&A opportunities, and business cases.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to engage with Boards and C-suite executives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- UAE experience is mandatory.
