Laboratory Technician - Research (Emirati Preferred)

Job Location: RAKMHSU

A Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Animal Science, Biomedical Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.

A minimum of 2-6 years of hands‑on experience in laboratory animal facilities or preclinical research settings is required.

The candidate should be capable of supporting interdisciplinary biomedical research activities, including animal handling, colony management, drug administration, and biological sample collection. They will assist in surgical procedures and support laboratory operations, including basic histopathological techniques and the use of research equipment. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring adherence to research protocols.

The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of research ethics, laboratory safety, and quality control practices. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in systems such as LIMS.

The role requires the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary environments, a commitment to animal welfare, adaptability, and the physical capacity to perform routine laboratory tasks.

Relevant certifications in BSL-2, GLP, and laboratory quality standards are considered an advantage.
