The Opportunity Lilly's Gulf affiliate is growing quickly and building a connected, AI-enabled engagement model across HCPs and consumers. This role exists to lead that build. You will lead the affiliate's insights and analytics function and build the data and insight capability that the next phase of growth depends on. It is a rare mandate: a fast-growing affiliate, a portfolio at the center of the company's ambition, and enough white space to shape how the business uses data from the ground up. You will not be building an enterprise data platform. Lilly has one, and our global technology organization builds it. Your job is to define what the Gulf needs from it, govern the definitions and data quality the business runs on, build the thin local layer where this region genuinely differs, and make sure the output actually changes decisions. That last part is the hardest, and the one we'll judge you on.

What You'll Own

• Insight that shapes decisions, not reports that describe the past. Act as a thought partner to the leadership team, surfacing performance risks, growth opportunities and market shifts before anyone asks. Lead advanced analytics and predictive work and translate it into recommendations leaders can act on.
• The Gulf data foundation. Own the affiliate's data and analytics roadmap. Work through the real constraints of this region: distributor-mediated data, limited sell-out visibility, tender-driven public channels in Kuwait and Qatar.
• Partner with our technology organization and global teams to specify requirements, govern definitions and data quality, and progressively connect customer, engagement and commercial data into something the business trusts.
• Customer intelligence across HCP and consumer. Lead the market research function and the affiliate's insight agenda, anchored in the questions that actually matter to the business rather than a research calendar. Integrate qualitative research, behavioral data and digital signals into a genuine view of HCP and consumer needs, barriers and journeys. Manage external research partners and hold them to Lilly's standards.
• AI and advanced analytics use cases. Identify, prioritize and scale the use cases with real commercial value, including personalization of engagements, next-best-action, forecasting and engagement optimization, with our technology team and external partners, and with the governance these applications require.
• Data governance and compliance as part of the build, not a check at the end. Own how customer data is collected, stored, transferred and used across the affiliate, including UAE PDPL requirements, cross-border transfer constraints between the three markets, consent management, and the handling distinction between consumer activation, HCP engagement and patient support program data.
• Measurement and team leadership. Establish a consistent framework for measuring whether engagement and strategic investments are working and build a habit of testing and learning.

What Success Looks Like in the First Twelve Months

• A single agreed performance view for the Gulf leadership team, with definitions the business has signed up to and no competing versions in circulation.
• A prioritized data and analytics roadmap, agreed with the technology team, with the first tranche delivered.
• HCP engagement and aggregated consumer activation views for at least obesity, sufficient to inform engagement planning.
• AI and advanced analytics use cases live and demonstrably influencing commercial decisions.
• A market research agenda rebuilt around the affiliate's most important strategic questions, with measurable improvement in how the business uses the output.
• Data privacy and governance standards documented and operating across all three markets.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years in analytics, insights or data-driven commercial roles, with a track record of turning analysis into decisions that changed something.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Real fluency in modern data ecosystems: analytics platforms, data governance, AI/ML applications, personalization and next-best-action, CRM and digital engagement platforms.
• Comfort working with imperfect and incomplete data, and the judgement to know when it's good enough to act on.
• Experience in consumer products, FinTech, e-commerce, consulting or another data-mature sector is highly valued.
