Foundation Finance Company is hiring a Customer Service Specialist I to join its growing consumer finance team. This role focuses on assisting customers with account inquiries, resolving issues, processing payments, and providing professional support regarding financial products and services.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle customer interactions professionally. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while developing customer service and financial operations skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming customer calls related to account questions and provide appropriate solutions.

• Process routine customer payments over the phone.

• Guide customers on available resources, including online portals, IVR systems, and other support options.

• Provide accurate information regarding interest, statements, and account-related inquiries.

• Identify delinquent or potentially delinquent accounts and direct customers to the appropriate support teams.

• Utilize company resources to achieve effective first-call resolutions.

• Assist with administrative tasks, reports, emails, and other departmental activities.

• Support new employee training through coaching, shadowing, and progress reporting.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Communication, Marketing, or related field, or relevant applicable experience.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and email applications.

• Professional telephone presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.

• Ability to handle challenging customer conversations with professionalism and diplomacy.

• Strong typing skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

• Must be available for scheduled evening shifts and occasional Saturday shifts.
