We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant - Pediatric Dermatology to join our esteemed health care team. This role is pivotal in delivering specialized dermatological care to infants, children, and adolescents, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex skin conditions unique to pediatric populations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive clinical expertise, a deep understanding of developmental dermatology, and a patient-centered approach to ensure optimal health outcomes. As a key member of the multidisciplinary care team, the Consultant will contribute to clinical excellence, mentorship, research, and the continuous improvement of pediatric dermatology services. This position plays a critical role in advancing pediatric skin health, improving quality of life for young patients, and supporting family-centered care in a dynamic, innovative health care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of pediatric dermatological conditions, including congenital disorders, inflammatory skin diseases, genetic skin syndromes, and dermatologic manifestations of systemic illness.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other health care providers, ensuring age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, contributing to comprehensive care strategies for complex pediatric dermatology cases.
  
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as skin biopsies, patch testing, and phototherapy under appropriate clinical indications.
  
• Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students in pediatric dermatology, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
  
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and evidence-based practice development within the department.
  
• Engage in research and scholarly activities, including participation in clinical trials, publication of findings, and presentation at national and international conferences.
  
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in compliance with health care regulations and institutional standards.
  
• Actively participate in continuing medical education and professional development to stay current with advancements in pediatric dermatology.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology with additional fellowship training in Pediatric Dermatology.
  
• Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in pediatric dermatology within a hospital or specialized outpatient setting.
  
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing rare and complex pediatric skin disorders, including but not limited to ichthyosis, epidermolysis bullosa, vascular anomalies, and pigmentary disorders.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice.
  
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and clinical documentation standards.
  
• Active participation in research, publications, or presentations in peer-reviewed journals or conferences is highly desirable.
  
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and emergency dermatology consultations as required.
