Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial looms to produce woven fabrics according to production schedules and quality standards.
• Perform routine setup, calibration, and adjustments of looms to ensure optimal performance and product consistency.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on loom machinery to minimize breakdowns and ensure safety.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisors as needed.
• Monitor fabric quality during production, detecting defects such as yarn breaks, tension irregularities, or pattern inconsistencies.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, production output, and maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to meet daily and weekly production goals.
• Assist in material loading and unloading, including handling warp beams and fabric rolls.
• Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience as a Loom Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with various types of industrial looms (e.g., 6 shuttle Lohia/ Starlinger loom).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical schematics or machine manuals.
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for quality control and defect detection.
• Basic understanding of textile weaving processes and fabric characteristics.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment with standing and repetitive tasks.
• Proficiency in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data and reports.
• Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
