Job Description

Are you passionate about creating welcoming spaces and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our opening team and support the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead by example, guide and support our Housekeeping team, and ensure that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards, creating a comfortable and memorable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Housekeeping team.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors and assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and maintenance standards are consistently met.
• Allocate daily assignments and monitor productivity and quality of work.
• Ensure rooms are released on time and communicate room status effectively with Front Office.
• Coach, train and motivate team members to consistently deliver high standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Monitor the correct use and care of cleaning equipment, supplies, linen and guest amenities.
• Identify and report maintenance issues and follow up with the Engineering team as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and hotel procedures.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper with inventories, reports and other departmental requirements.
• Assist in establishing Housekeeping standards, procedures and operational readiness during the hotel's pre-opening phase

Qualifications

 

• Previous experience in Housekeeping within a hotel environment, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong knowledge of guest room cleaning, inspection procedures and Housekeeping standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality.
• Good leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and support a diverse team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene practices.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
