Junior Accountant

Job Description
The Graduate Accountant supports a company's finance team by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Producing error‑free accounting reports and present their results
- Prepare sales invoices and follow up with payments
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Maintain a proper filing system for accounting documents.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing reports
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with Senior Accountant to improve financial procedures
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with emphasis on UAE experience
- Previous work experience with Engineering Consultancy Firms
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands‑on experience with accounting software packages
- Advance MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
