Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a clean and organized warehouse, and follows all company safety procedures.

Requirements

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
  
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  
• Store products in designated warehouse locations.
  
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
  
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
  
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock audits.
  
• Update inventory records using warehouse management systems or Excel.
  
• Label, organize, and maintain warehouse stock.
  
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory to the supervisor.
  
• Assist with stock transfers and returns.
  
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
  
• Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory systems).
  
• Good understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
  
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and labels.
  
• Forklift certification is an advantage (where applicable).
