Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our linens and uniforms, contributing to our guests' overall satisfaction.
- Manage daily laundry operations for linens and uniforms, adhering to established cycles and proper textile care procedures
- Safely handle chemicals and operate laundry equipment, following health and safety regulations
- Maintain and troubleshoot laundry machinery, reporting any malfunctions to supervisors promptly
- Ensure proper sorting, washing, drying, and folding of various textiles according to specific care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete daily checklists
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures
- Participate in monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate logbooks
- Meet schedules and deadlines as agreed upon with management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a Laundry Attendant in a 4-5 star hotel or similar establishment
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of laundry operations and proper textile care procedures
- Demonstrated ability to safely handle chemicals and operate laundry equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of English language
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
