Description:

MBS is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Officer to join its team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement activities, supplier coordination, and purchasing technical materials while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.

The successful candidate will manage procurement processes, evaluate supplier quotations, prepare purchase orders, coordinate with finance teams, and maintain accurate purchasing records. Key Responsibilities:

• Procure raw materials and production consumables at competitive prices while ensuring timely availability.

• Request, review, and evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparative analysis reports.

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requirements and delivery schedules.

• Collect supplier contracts, invoices, and required documentation while ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Coordinate with the Finance Department for timely issuance of Letters of Credit (LCs) for international purchases and Post-Dated Cheques (PDCs) for local orders.

• Monitor order progress and provide regular updates to relevant departments.

• Follow up with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.

• Maintain and update procurement records, including import LC registers, LC priority lists, transit tracking, and raw material cost records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering discipline.

• 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably handling technical items within the PEB industry.

• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier coordination.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic will be an added advantage.

• Ability to manage multiple purchasing activities and meet deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of:

• ERP procurement modules.

• Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Purchase orders, supplier documentation, and procurement records management.
