THE TEAM

Our Culinary team is dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences that reflect the spirit of Rosewood Abu Dhabi and exceed guest expectations. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative kitchen environment, the team is responsible for delivering high-quality cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, consistency, and presentation. Reporting to the Junior Sous Chef and working closely with chefs across all kitchen sections, the Commis III plays an important role in supporting daily kitchen operations and delivering memorable culinary experiences.

YOUR ROLE

As Commis III, you will contribute to the success of our culinary operations by preparing and presenting dishes to Rosewood standards while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of your assigned kitchen section. You will work closely with senior chefs to ensure ingredients, preparation, and service standards are consistently met. Through your passion for food, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, you will help create exceptional dining experiences for our guests while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Prepare and present food items in your assigned kitchen section according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared and organized to support smooth and efficient service periods.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
• Monitor product quality, consistency, and portion control to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and assist in guiding junior culinary team members when required.
• Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and report maintenance, operational, or safety concerns promptly.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment and support additional projects or operational needs as assigned.

• You have experience working in a professional kitchen environment and are passionate about developing your culinary skills.
• You possess a solid understanding of food preparation techniques, presentation standards, and kitchen operations.
• You are knowledgeable about food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements and are committed to maintaining them at all times.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can remain organized while managing multiple priorities.
• You pay close attention to detail and take pride in consistently producing high-quality dishes.
• You work well as part of a team, communicate effectively, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• You are eager to learn, take direction well, and demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to your work.
• You are fluent in English and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
