Purchase Manager (Textile Industry)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to manage and oversee procurement operations for our textile and garment business in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sourcing fabrics, trims, accessories, and textile-related materials, along with proven skills in supplier management, negotiation, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing processes, and ensuring high-quality materials are procured at competitive prices while meeting operational deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for fabrics, trims, accessories, and other textile-related materials.
  
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable delivery timelines.
  
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international textile suppliers.
  
• Negotiate purchase agreements, pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions with vendors.
  
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and management teams to ensure materials are available according to operational requirements.
  
• Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock planning to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  
• Prepare, process, and monitor purchase orders from request to final delivery.
  
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, industry trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
  
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, quantity, pricing, or delivery delays.
  
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and purchasing forecasts for management review.
  
• Support continuous improvement of procurement strategies and supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in purchasing/procurement within the textile, garment, tailoring, or fabric industry .
  
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, textile materials, trims, accessories, and garment production requirements.
  
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
  
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory planning, and cost control.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory management systems.
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with local and international textile suppliers.
  
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and logistics coordination.
  
• Experience supporting garment manufacturing or tailoring operations.
  
• Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage.
