Description:

A reputable company in the UAE is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to support its refinery operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, trading, or industrial accounting who can efficiently manage financial records and day-to-day accounting activities.

The successful candidate will oversee account reconciliations, ledger maintenance, LPO processing, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly financial reporting. The position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments while maintaining accurate financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities for refinery operations.

• Prepare and maintain customer and supplier ledgers with accuracy.

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Process and maintain Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and related documents.

• Handle purchase invoices, sales invoices, credit notes, and payment records.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Follow up on customer outstanding balances and supplier payments.

• Assist with bank, customer, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Verify invoices against LPOs, delivery documents, and supporting records.

• Prepare receivable, payable, outstanding, and reconciliation reports.

• Support month-end closing activities and assist during audits.

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, operations, and administration teams on financial matters.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or Accountant in the oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, trading, or industrial sector.

• Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Account reconciliation and ledger maintenance.

• LPO processing, purchase and sales invoicing, and supplier/customer accounts.

• Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), MS Excel, and general accounting principles.
