IT Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Support / IT Services Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable technical support to clients, maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical IT systems.

This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and delivering high-quality IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients and end users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, servers, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Support and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, email systems, and business applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
• Perform user account creation, configuration, password resets, and access management.
• Monitor and maintain client IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Assist with server, backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform regular system health checks, preventive maintenance, and IT infrastructure assessments.
• Respond to support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, solutions, and system configurations.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or relevant vendors when required.
• Coordinate with software and hardware vendors for technical support, warranty claims, and issue resolution.
• Assist with the deployment, installation, and implementation of new IT solutions and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of client assets, licenses, configurations, and IT documentation.
• Provide users with basic technical guidance and training when required.
• Ensure all client systems are maintained according to company policies, security standards, and best practices.
• Maintain professional communication and build strong working relationships with clients.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic system administration.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
• Experience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, servers, and network devices.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, antivirus, endpoint security, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Familiarity with cloud services and business applications is an advantage.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems, remote support tools, and monitoring platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize urgent technical issues
