Position Treasury Director

Position Purpose

The Director of Treasury will oversee the strategic management and execution of treasury and financing services to related parties within and outside of the Free Zone entity. This includes cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, debt management, centralized payment systems, and cash pooling. The Director of Treasury ensures compliance with corporate tax and regulatory requirements while supporting the Free Zone entity’s status as a qualifying entity under UAE Corporate Tax guidelines.

Responsibilities

Strategic Treasury & Cash Management

• Maintain optimal cash flow to meet the financial obligations of the Free Zone entity and related parties.
• Oversee cash inflows and outflows, ensuring efficient liquidity management.
• Implement cash pooling systems and centralized treasury operations.
• Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies related to credit, liquidity, and operational risks.

Corporate Financing & Capital Structure

• Secure funding for the Free Zone entity and project companies through shareholder loans, bank loans, and other financing mechanisms.
• Oversee the structuring, administration, and compliance of intercompany loans.
• Manage debt-to-equity structures, ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Develop capital allocation strategies to optimize funding efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, and finance teams to ensure compliance with UAE Free Zone regulations.

Investment & Financial Performance Management

• Develop and implement investment strategies to maximize returns while managing risk.
• Monitor and optimize investment portfolios in line with financial goals.
• Conduct periodic reviews of financial performance, risk exposure, and capital structure to enhance decision-making.
• Provide management with strategic insights on financial health and growth opportunities.

Financial Reporting, Compliance & Governance

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.
• Ensure adherence to UAE Free Zone regulations, corporate tax laws, and financial reporting requirements.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure transparency.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder reporting.

Budgeting, Cost Control & Operational Efficiency

• Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business planning models.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Establish cost control mechanisms to drive efficiency across departments and projects.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining financial sustainability.

Accounts Payable, Receivable & Working Capital Management

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payables and receivables.
• Optimize working capital by managing payment terms, collections, and vendor relationships.
• Strengthen financial processes and negotiation strategies with key stakeholders.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACT) preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or financial risk management.
• Demonstrated experience managing treasury operations for multinational organizations or related parties.
• Strong ability to manage cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.

• In‑depth knowledge of cash pooling, centralized payment systems, and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with UAE Free Zone corporate tax requirements and qualifying activities.
• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
