Job Description

The Land Surveyor performs all duties associated with surveying, which may include direction and preparation of boundary surveys, easements and descriptions.

Job Duties .

Performing record research, construction stakeout, and boundary, topographic, transportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations and data collectors.
Review information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.
Plan field work & select known survey reference points.
Determine the precise location of important features in the survey area.
Research legal records, look for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyze the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
Record the results of surveys and verify accuracy of data.
Prepare plots, maps, and reports – metes and bounds descriptions.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil , Geodetic or related field.)

Experience

The ideal candidate to be Civil Engineering graduate with minimum 8+ years’ experience in land surveying field and setting out of works of similar nature or Diploma holder with minimum 10+ years’ experience in the land surveying field in similar works.
