Job Overview

Orient Insurance PJSC is looking for an experienced AI Product Owner – Insurance to lead the development and implementation of AI-powered products and intelligent automation solutions across the insurance value chain.

The role covers areas including underwriting, claims, customer service, operations, finance, and distribution . The successful candidate will work closely with business teams, technology specialists, data scientists, engineers, and external AI vendors to identify opportunities, develop product roadmaps, and deliver AI solutions that create measurable business value.

This position requires a strong combination of insurance industry knowledge, product management experience, AI expertise, technology understanding, and stakeholder management skills .

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Develop and manage the AI product vision, roadmap, and backlog.
• Identify and evaluate AI use cases across insurance operations.
• Prioritise initiatives based on business value, ROI, complexity, and risk.
• Align AI product initiatives with overall business strategy.
• Develop business cases and frameworks to measure value and outcomes.

2. AI Solution Design

Work with engineering, architecture, and data science teams to define and deliver:

• AI-powered workflows and automation solutions.
• Agentic AI and multi-agent workflows for insurance processes.
• Prompt engineering requirements.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Human-in-the-loop review and control mechanisms.
• Explainability and decision-making requirements.
• AI-enabled business processes and customer experiences.

3. Technical & AI Leadership

Provide product and technical direction across key AI technologies, including:

• Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
• Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration.
• LangGraph, Transformers, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• RAG architectures and enterprise knowledge systems.
• Prompt engineering and AI evaluation.
• Vector databases and AI application components.
• APIs, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled enterprise architecture.

4. Data, AI Governance & Risk Management

Ensure AI products follow appropriate governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting responsible AI practices.
• Establishing model governance and explainability requirements.
• Managing AI-related risks and regulatory considerations.
• Defining model monitoring and performance processes.
• Supporting drift detection and prompt governance.
• Maintaining auditability of AI systems.
• Establishing appropriate human review and approval processes.

5. AI Adoption & Change Management

• Drive adoption of AI solutions across business functions.
• Define product KPIs and success metrics.
• Monitor business performance and realised benefits.
• Support training and user enablement.
• Work with business leaders to integrate AI into existing operating processes.
• Gather feedback and continuously improve AI products.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems , or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.

Professional Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in Product Management, Digital Transformation, Technology Delivery, AI Solutions, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry .
• Proven experience delivering or implementing enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and business requirements.
