Job Description

As a Flexible Legal Consultant with RAYNE, you will take on essential legal roles within our clients' organisations, providing expert legal support during periods of transition. Whether acting as Interim General Counsel or managing specific legal tasks, your contributions will ensure seamless legal continuity and compliance. This role is ideal for seasoned legal professionals who thrive in dynamic settings and seek flexible, project-based engagements with top firms in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a Flexible Legal Counsel or General Counsel, leading legal operations during organisational transitions.

Offer strategic legal advice to clients in various industries, ensuring compliance with both local and international laws.

Oversee legal initiatives, including contract reviews, dispute resolution, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with both internal and external legal teams to facilitate the achievement of client’s business objectives.

Partner with internal and external legal teams to support clients’ business goals effectively.

Conduct in-depth legal research and draft precise, clear legal documentation and reports.

Stay current on industry regulations and legal trends relevant to Dubai and the UAE.

Quickly adapt to new client environments, delivering high-quality legal services under tight deadlines.

Qualification Needed

Education and Experience:

Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.

At least 5-7 years of legal practice experience, particularly in corporate law, commercial law, or general counsel positions.

Demonstrated expertise in Corporate Legal Consultant roles or similar temporary legal functions, especially within the UAE or GCC regions.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage legal operations during transitions.

In-depth knowledge of flexible legal frameworks, contract law, and compliance regulations in Dubai and the UAE.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing close collaboration with executive teams and stakeholders.

Skilled in quickly identifying and addressing legal risks, and providing sound legal guidance in high-stakes situations.

Strong analytical and research skills, with a detail-oriented approach to resolving legal challenges.

Adaptable and flexible, able to succeed in dynamic work environments with varied client demands.
