We have 40 consultants in our Legal & Compliance Practice who specialise in placing people in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Ireland, Caribbean, Channel Islands, US and in the UK.

We are supporting a prominent financial services body in Dubai with the appointment of a Manager - Policy. This role sits within a specialist regulatory function focused on developing policy frameworks, conducting thematic research, and supporting strategic regulatory initiatives.

Role Overview

The position involves contributing to regulatory policy development, conducting research across key financial sectors, and supporting internal and external engagement activities. It offers exposure to high‑impact policy work and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development - Draft policy papers, consultation materials, and regulatory guidance.

Thematic Research - Conduct research and benchmarking across areas such as markets, funds, banking, insurance, AML/CTF, and digital assets.

Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with internal teams, industry participants, and external bodies to shape policy positions.

Change Analysis - Assess the need for policy updates and evaluate strategic options.

Communications - Support internal and external communication activities, including drafting content for presentations and outreach.

Risk Culture - Contribute to risk‑based thinking within the policy function.

Key Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in financial regulation, policy, compliance, or a related industry role
• Strong understanding of financial services and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality work under tight timelines
• Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and public‑sector environments
