Senior Architect Site Based

AECOM are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join one of our building projects in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. This is a site-based position where you will lead architectural design and delivery of complex projects providing strategic vision and technical expertise. As a Senior Architect you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project development from conceptualization through completion while mentoring junior team members and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of design excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project requirements and constraints providing strategic recommendations to optimize design outcomes cost efficiency and timeline delivery
• Manage stakeholder relationships including clients consultants contractors and regulatory authorities ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project phases
• Oversee the construction site to ensure that the architectural design is implemented correctly and according to the plans.
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with contractors engineers and other professionals to resolve any design or construction issues.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site making adjustments to plans as necessary.
• Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders highlighting any deviations from the plan and proposed solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of site activities including daily logs inspection reports and change orders.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the project.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors in Architecture / Architecture Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of professional architectural experience with at least 5 years in a senior or lead architect role
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering large-scale complex architectural projects f
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes regulations and local authority requirements
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities with experience mentoring junior architects
• Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment with regular on-site presence
