Job Summary:

The Technical/Estimate Office Engineer provides technical and administrative support for diesel generator projects, including preparation of technical documents, drawings, submittals, and coordination between departments. The role ensures proper project documentation, compliance with specifications, and alignment between sales, procurement, service, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation & Submittals

• Prepare Technical Submittals, compliance Sheets, and method statements for diesel generator projects
• Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure proper documentation
• Create and update technical manuals, datasheets, and product catalogs

Coordination & Communication

• Act as liaison between sales, engineering and procurement and service teams
• Assist in evaluating technical offers from suppliers
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to track project progress

Design & Drawing Preparation:

• Develop AutoCAD drawings for generator layouts, installation, exhaust systems, and fuel piping
• Prepare SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and general arrangement drawings
• Review consultant/client mark-ups and incorporate changes accordingly

Project Support:

• Support project Engineers with load calculations, sizing of generators, and selection of accessories
• Ensure that all technical works complies with project timelines and standards
• Track changes, manage revisions, and ensure document control for all project stages

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g. NFPA, ISO, IEC) and company standards
• Participate in internal audits and assist in the implementation of quality procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in technical office role within the diesel generator or electromechanical company
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be familiar with industry standards and applications for generators.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Diesel generator systems including engine, alternator, fuel, exhaust and control panels
• Strong problem-solving skills with customer-focused mindset
• Proactive, output oriented and can work in a fast phase environment
