About the Role

The Director of Supply Chain & Operations is responsible for developing and executing the company's end-to-end supply chain and operational strategy across MEA. The role leads Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Facilities Management, Vendor Management, and Operational Compliance, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, compliant and customer-focused operations that support business growth and profitability.

The position provides strategic leadership to optimize supply chain performance, drive operational excellence, manage supplier relationships, strengthen customer service capabilities, and ensure effective governance across all operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the supply chain and operations strategy aligned with business objectives.

Lead and develop high-performing teams across Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Facilities, and Compliance.

Establish and monitor KPIs to drive operational performance, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Act as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic business planning and decision-making.

Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management activities to ensure continuity of supply and cost competitiveness.

Negotiate commercial agreements and build strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.

Monitor supplier performance and implement strategies to reduce risk, improve quality, and deliver value.

Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management operations to ensure efficient product flow and service delivery.

Drive initiatives to optimize inventory levels, reduce operating costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Ensure effective management of import/export activities and compliance with trade regulations.

Lead customer service operations to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes through data-driven decision making.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, quality, health & safety, and operational requirements.

Oversee facilities management to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant working environments.

Identify and mitigate supply chain, operational, and business risks through effective governance and controls.

Manage departmental budgets and deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service and quality standards.

Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of tools and operational systems.

Provide operational and financial insights to support strategic decision-making and profitability.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's Degree and/or professional supply chain qualifications (CIPS, APICS/ASCM, Lean Six Sigma) desirable

Experience:

Minimum 10 years' experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations leadership roles.

Significant experience operating within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.

Proven track record of leading multi-functional operational teams and delivering business improvement initiatives.

Experience managing supplier relationships, strategic sourcing programs, and international logistics operations.

Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

• Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain management tools.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive process improvements.
