Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Immediate Hiring

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional disorders and develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional disorders.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on patients' clinical conditions and functional goals.
• Manage patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic surgery, amputations, and sports injuries.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
• Perform appropriate interventional procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and ultrasound-guided procedures where qualified.
• Perform and interpret EMG/NCS studies where appropriately trained.
• Prescribe and coordinate physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other rehabilitation services.
• Assess and prescribe appropriate orthotics, prosthetics, mobility aids, and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation programs according to clinical outcomes.
• Provide pain management and functional restoration programs.
• Counsel patients and families regarding rehabilitation goals, treatment options, recovery expectations, and long-term care.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, rehabilitation nurses, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call duties where required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MD / DNB / Arab Board / American Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) .
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience, including significant Consultant-level experience .
• Strong clinical experience in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Experience in pain management, EMG/NCS, and interventional rehabilitation procedures is preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage complex rehabilitation cases independently.
