Oracle DB Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Oracle database systems. This includes ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement Oracle databases to meet business requirements.
- Database Administration: Perform daily database administration tasks, including backups, recovery, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance, connectivity, and data integrity.
- Security: Ensure database security, including access control, authentication, and authorization.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing.
- Upgrade and Migration: Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database systems.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
- Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and administration.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle RMAN, and Oracle Data Guard.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Work Environment:
- Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Travel: Need to relocate to Dubai
