Emerging Technology Lead

We are seeking a forward-thinking and strategically minded Emerging Technology Lead to identify, shape, and deliver high-impact initiatives across new and emerging technology domains. The successful candidate will lead research, concept development, and delivery for projects that explore innovative applications of frontier technologies and translate complex ideas into practical, scalable, and accessible solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with product, engineering, research, and business teams to build intelligent, future-ready initiatives and programs. Responsibilities Lead research and concept development for initiatives involving emerging technologies. Identify, commission and cultivate relationships with technologists, researchers, product teams, and strategic partners. Produce strategic briefs, technical summaries, presentation materials, and reports that communicate complex topics clearly. Develop project timelines, delivery briefs, and coordinate implementation with technical teams and vendors. Manage project budgets, schedules and supplier/contractor relationships. Organize accompanying workshops, demos, training sessions, and educational materials. Liaise with technical and business partners to ensure accurate, ethical, and effective delivery of initiatives; arrange access to data, prototypes or environments as required. Oversee documentation, testing records, and archival notes for each project or initiative. Support fundraising and proposal applications by preparing research summaries and recommendations. Monitor stakeholder feedback and research impact; refine strategies to increase accessibility, adoption, and engagement. Qualifications Minimum BA/MA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; PhD or equivalent research experience preferred. At least 3–5 years experience in emerging technology, innovation, research, consulting, or equivalent professional setting. Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with emerging technology topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, XR, digital innovation, or related frontier domains — deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with technical teams is essential. Strong research, writing and editorial skills — able to produce clear, engaging strategic and technical materials. Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination and logistics. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between product, engineering, research, and business teams. Experience programming workshops, demos, training sessions, or education activities. Commitment to accessible presentation and ethical engagement with technology content. Portfolio or track record of technology initiatives, prototypes, or related projects (links or PDF). Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
