Officer – Logistics Operations
We are looking for a responsible and organized Officer – Logistics Operations to support and coordinate daily logistics activities. The role involves shipment planning, transportation coordination, documentation, tracking deliveries, and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day logistics and transportation activities.
- Arrange and monitor pickup and delivery of materials and goods.
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Track shipments and provide timely delivery updates.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documents, including delivery challans, invoices, and transport records.
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities.
- Monitor vehicle availability and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatches, deliveries, and vehicle movements.
- Follow up on delayed or pending shipments and coordinate corrective actions.
- Verify delivery documents and ensure proper acknowledgment of deliveries.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for smooth inbound and outbound operations.
- Monitor transporter performance and escalate operational issues when required.
- Assist in controlling transportation and logistics costs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports/MIS.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field .
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and transportation processes.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office .
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS or logistics software is an advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
