Project Engineer

We are seeking a technically competent and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects. The successful candidate will coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day project engineering and site activities.
• Review project drawings, specifications, technical documents, and contractual requirements.
• Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls teams.
• Monitor project progress and report technical or schedule-related issues to the Project Manager.
• Assist in developing project schedules, work plans, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Review technical submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, method statements, and related documentation.
• Monitor material requirements, deliveries, and availability to support project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure work is completed according to approved technical and quality requirements.
• Identify technical problems and coordinate with relevant teams to develop practical solutions.
• Support the preparation and review of RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, installation, and handover activities as applicable.
• Work closely with the QA/QC team to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Ensure project activities comply with HSE policies, procedures, and site safety requirements.
• Assist with monitoring project costs, variations, quantities, and resource utilization.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and provide technical updates.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, technical documentation, inspections, and progress.
• Support the preparation of progress reports and project status updates.
• Assist in resolving site coordination issues and ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
• Contribute to project closeout, as-built documentation, testing records, and final handover.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or another relevant Engineering discipline, depending on the project.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or in a similar engineering/project role.
• Strong technical knowledge relevant to the project discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good understanding of construction and project execution processes.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of quality-control and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/project management software.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in construction, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, MEP, oil & gas, or engineering projects.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage.
• Experience with technical submittals, material approvals, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Professional engineering certification or relevant industry certification is an advantage.
