Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Gastroenterologist with American Board certification to join its specialist medical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy .
- Manage complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up.
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and departmental activities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE clinical and regulatory standards.
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
- American Board Certification in Gastroenterology , preferably through an ABMS-recognized board.
- Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
- Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
- Current professional registration/licence and Good Standing Certificate.
- Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification , subject to final PQR and regulatory authority assessment. The current UAE PQR recognizes American Board certifications issued by ABMS as Tier 1 qualifications for physicians.
