About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced French Language Tutorto support children, teenagers, university students, and adults in developing confidence and fluency in French. You will deliver personalised lessons in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural understanding. The successful candidate will support learners studying French for school, examinations, university, travel, relocation, professional development, or personal enrichment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess learners’ French proficiency, learning needs, and personal or academic goals
• Deliver personalised one-to-one or small-group French lessons
• Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational French
• Support learners following British, American, IB, CBSE, UAE MOE, French, and other international curricula
• Prepare students for GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB, DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF, and other French language assessments
• Develop learners’ confidence through communicative, practical, and culturally relevant activities
• Support school homework, coursework, oral examinations, written assignments, and revision
• Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Adapt teaching strategies for different ages, abilities, and learning styles
• Collaborate with Simone’s Tutoring specialists to support broader academic development

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Modern Foreign Languages, Education, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching or tutoring French
• Advanced or native-level proficiency in French
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PGCE, B.Ed., FLE qualification, DELF/DALF examiner training, or recognised language teaching certification
• Experience teaching French within British, American, IB, CBSE, or French curricula
• Experience preparing students for DELF, DALF, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, or IB examinations
• Experience teaching both children and adult learners

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa
• Green Visa
• Freelance Permit
• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
• Any other valid UAE work authorisation

Compensation
Earn 60% commission on all checked-in, completed, and fully paid lessons and language programmes.
Commission is paid on successfully completed sessions after client payment has been received.
Payments are processed monthly.
Independent contractor position.
